About Value Added Course

In today's world, where environmental concerns are at the forefront of global challenges, the development and implementation of innovative technologies play a crucial role. Chemosensors, an emerging field at the intersection of chemistry, materials science, and environmental science, offer tremendous potential for addressing environmental issues and promoting sustainable development. This value-added course, "Chemosensors for Environment and Sustainable Development," aims to provide students with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in designing, synthesizing, and utilizing chemosensors for environmental monitoring and sustainable practices.

Dr. Amanpreet Singh

Dr. Amanpreet Singh

Dr. Amanpreet Singh received his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Chemistry, Indian Institute of Technology, Ropar. He has done his master’s degree in organic chemistry from Department of chemistry Panjab University Chandigarh in 2017. Currently, he is an assistant professor in the Department of Chemistry, University Institute of Science, Chandigarh University, Mohali. He has published his research in well reputed international journals. His research interest lies in supramolecular organic chemistry and material chemistry, and development of carbon based nanomaterials for sensing and catalysis. His research mainly focuses on development of chemosensors for environmental applications and sustainable development.

Mr. Shubham Singh received his M. Tech. degree from Indian Institute of Technology, Ropar. He is an innovator cum entrepreneur and head at Head Product & Innovations at Ubreathe Gurugram, Haryana, India. He has 4+ years of experience in air-quality domain and passionate about Enviroment and Sustainability. He has developed India’s first Negative pressure ambulance during COVID 19 crisis and developed World’s first plant based air- purifier; Ubreathe life. Mr. Shubham received recognition from the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology & MyGov India for my innovative technology also raised a fund of Rs 1.5 Cr. from Namita Thapar, Director Emcure Pharma on Shark Tank 2. His company mainly focuses on development of devices for environment and sustainability.
