About the Conference
The Department of Chemistry, University Institute of Sciences, Chandigarh University, is proud to announce
the 3rd International Conference on Futuristic Materials for Sustainable Development Goals
(FMSDG-2026),
scheduled to be held from 9th–10th April 2026 in offline mode at Chandigarh University, Mohali, Punjab,
India.
Building on the success of the previous editions—FMSDG-2024, organized in collaboration with the American
Chemical Society (ACS) and the Vaal University of Technology (VUT), South Africa, and FMSDG-2025, jointly
conducted with VUT—the upcoming conference aims to strengthen this foundation and expand its global impact.
FMSDG-2026 seeks to bring together scientists, academicians, industry professionals, young researchers, and
students from around the world to exchange expertise and discuss emerging advancements in sustainable
materials. The conference will focus on green chemistry, nanomaterials, renewable energy, advanced
functional materials, catalysis, corrosion inhibition, and environmental remediation, with a special
emphasis on their contributions to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The event will feature plenary and keynote lectures by internationally renowned experts, technical sessions
for oral and poster presentations, dedicated sessions for women in science and young innovators, and
opportunities to foster industry–academia collaborations. Selected papers will be considered for publication
in peer-reviewed SCI/Scopus-indexed journals, and all accepted abstracts will be included in the conference
proceedings booklet.
In alignment with its sustainability vision, FMSDG-2026 will implement green practices, including a
paperless format, e-certificates, zero-plastic usage, and hybrid options to reduce carbon emissions while
encouraging broad international participation.
With an anticipated attendance of 300–350 delegates, including international speakers, industry partners,
and emerging scholars, FMSDG-2026 promises to be a vibrant platform for scientific exchange, innovation, and
collaboration—paving the way for new research partnerships, industrial linkages, and policy-relevant
insights toward a sustainable future.
