Model United Nations

The UITTR's IGNITE Model United Nations (MUN) is a first-time flagship event, which intends to provide an exciting platform for new generations of leaders to engage in meaningful discussions about key global concerns. Through its carefully selected committees and an engaging delegate experience, IGNITE MUN will develop new approaches/cross-disciplinary practices for innovative thinking and accountability/reachable solutions within the context of international relations (IR). In its first year, also known as "IGNITE MUN 2026," it will provide the foundation for a culture of high-quality diplomacy, debate, and young leader development that has an emphasis on research, negotiation, collaboration, and public speaking. Additionally, the IGNITE MUN event is designed to give young people a voice and raise their level of awareness about IR, policy-making, and global development. The goal of this conference is to help delegates to think critically, act ethically, and lead with confidence.
The member schools of UITTR have the honor to invite you to our inaugural Model UN conference, IGNITE MUN, which will take place April 1 - 2, 2026. The purpose of this event is to provide a chance for diplomacy, conversation, and international cooperation among the youth. The goal of IGNITE MUN 2026 is to set a standard of excellence in the Model UN community in terms of providing an academically rigorous and intellectually stimulating environment for participants. By providing the first edition of this event, UITTR hopes to create an ongoing tradition of promoting critical thinking, developing leadership skills, and raising students’ awareness of global issues. Model UN conferences give youth a unique opportunity to participate in discussions about current issues facing the world today, to learn how to do research as well as speak in public with confidence and to develop their negotiation and consensus-building skills. At this year's conference, we expect to see many excited delegates participating from different institutions across the country.
There will also be a diverse group of experienced conference leaders as part of the Executive Board of the conference. All committees across the various topics will have stimulating discussion agendas that all delegates will work toward developing and creating an inclusive environment for even more diverse participants by combining high school and collegiate attendees into one epic collaborative setting. Lastly, beyond the formal committee sessions, there will be ample opportunities for networking, cross-cultural exchanges, and networking opportunities that will provide delegates with new perspectives and much-needed motivation to become leaders in a global environment.
At this time we are excited about the global debate and collaboration to create a positive lasting impact to provide the possibility of encouraging a more conscientious, diverse, inclusive and diplomatic way of conducting the future of society through developing and utilizing innovative solutions, providing leaders with actionable tools & building productive collaborative organizations to leverage their energy and ability in order to maximize their overall impact on how they will be remembered and their legacies will be recorded.
