Department of Electrical Engineering took initiative in bringing Industry Institute Interface and Hartek Group sponsored Lab “Innovation Lab for Sustainability" for Students of Electrical Engineering. This course deals with the techniques in Power System analysis, stability evaluation planning, reliability. The course also covers subjects on high voltage DC transmission, industrial electronics and controls, power electronics and drives, wind and solar energy electric conversion systems and advanced topics in microprocessors and microcontrollers which are very much needed for today's power system engineer. Projects of practical relevance in these areas are carried out in the final semester of the course. The objective of the course is to produce Electrical Power Engineers with ethical attitudes to meet intricate technology challenges for betterment of society; to meet educational and industrial needs through effective training in state of the art technology in the area of Power System and Drives. To impart research and technological skills amongst the Electrical Engineering graduates to become leading professionals in the power sector.

Early Bird Scholarship

The Early Bird Scholarship (EBS) for admission in all the Master of Engineering Programs of Chandigarh University for the session 2023-24 is notified as under:

  • 20 (Twenty) percent scholarship to be given to the students who have completed Bachelor of Engineering degree from Chandigarh University provided they pay full Semester fee at the time of admission.
  • 15 (Fifteen) percent scholarship to be given to the students who have completed their Bachelor of Engineering/Technology degree from other recognized Universities/Institutes.
