About the Department of English

University Institute of Liberal Arts and Humanities was founded in the year 2017. The Department of English, one of the academic departments of the University Institute of Liberal Arts and Humanities, has more than 120 research scholars and faculty members who apart from doing research and teaching in the Department are also catering to the needs of communication skills across the university. The department is credited with quality publications by the faculty and students and is proactive in organizing guest lectures by eminent personalities, seminars on current issues, student competitions, cultural events and much more. The department offers significant and comprehensive courses like PhD in English, Masters in English, and B. A. Liberal Arts (Hons). Numerous students from the department have excelled beyond their peers, successfully passing various competitive examinations and securing esteemed positions.
