The doctoral degree program in Pharmaceutical Sciences offers rigorous grounding in a broad range of disciplines that are critical for being a pharmaceutical scientist in academia and industry. We train research scholars in the fundamental aspects of drug disposition and drug action. Research areas further include the exploration and design of anti-infective agents, the design and development of innovative drug dosage forms, and the mechanisms and consequences of drug interactions with living organisms. Students learn fundamental skills in basic and applied research in toxicology, pharmacology, medicinal chemistry and industrial.
