The Learning Resource Centre of Chandigarh University consists of a Central Library & Eight Libraries situated in different Academic Blocks.These libraries have contributed significantly in supplemgnting the class room teaching and learning by further reading. Along with a rich collection of more than 80000 Books and 1.7 Lakhs of e-books both students and faculty are given access to 21701+ e-journals.
Each library has a Digital Unit to provide access to the digital resources and has maintained 12 electronic data bases. Institutional membership of DELNET & British Council Library offer on-demand books and articles to both students and faculty. The whole collection of the library has been bar-coded and the OPAC can be accessed online.
To conduct research and advanced reading, CU libraries have access to e-journals and databases like ASME, IEEE, EMERELD, EBSCO, ASCE, ASTM, McGraw Hill, J-Gate, ELSEVIER, MANUPATRA & WESTLAW INDIA. The libraries give easy access to several web based video courses, prepared by the scholars and faculties of leading institutes of the country. These repositories are directed towards reducing any geographical barriers and ensuring that highly evolved learning environment can flourish under the umbrella of the University.
The class room teaching material including PPTs used by the teachers in the class rooms are made available to the students through their UIMS page as also through the link http://172.19.2.100/uims/. The students can access this material at all times (24x7).

The Central library strictly follows the management principle i.e. the spirit of hive. Therefore we are available from 9 AM to 4 PM without any break for the issue and return of the books. Library follows the ticket system for the circulation of books.

Inter Library Loan
Chandigarh University library offers Inter Library Loan service to its users for Books, which are not available in the University library collection by processing them from others libraries. At present the collection of British Library Chandigarh can be accessed for the same. Document procurement service is also available from DELNET and from other document delivery service agencies, if the user is willing to bear the expenses involved.

The CU library maintains a separate collection consisting of Encyclopedia, Dictionaries; Reference books are marked "R" or “Reference”. It also contains books for competitive exams.
The CU library offers photocopying service to its members and visitors. Only single copy of journal articles and book chapter is provided for study purpose. The service is free to all staff members for official documents by just filling the Photocopy Form and duly signed by Their HOD. The photocopying unit is available at Reprography Section and its timings are: Monday to Friday: 9 AM – 1.30 PM and 2.00 PM - 4.00 PM.
CD/DVD Delivery Service
The CD/DVD recieved are available in the reference Section & the faculty can avail this service from 9AM to 4 PM on all working days. At present library has more than 1400 CD/DVDs. CD/DVDs collection available in library can be accessed on the circulation section. The collection is continously being updated.
Internet Service through Digital Library
Providing latest information to its users is the primary responsibility of any modern library. To fulfill this responsibility the CU Library has made arrangement to provide Internet search access to its users. Library has connectivity with internet lab and providing Wi-Fi campus to its users.
