Webinar on Evolving Mediums in Art

A webinar on the topic of evolving mediums in art was organized by the department of fine art on 12th may 2020. Students were taught about the skills of handling various materials by an expert Bharti Sharma who is an eminent Art Curator and art Advisor also a co founder of Ravinder Sharma Art Academy. All the students of fine art department participated in this webinar. Students learnt about various types of mediums and skills to practice art of contemporary era.

A webinar on the topic of evolving mediums in art was organized by the department of fine art on 12th may 2020. All the students of fine art department participated in this webinar. Students learnt about various types of mediums and skills to practice art of contemporary era.

Outcome:

They learned about contemporary artists who are practicing art using means and material from home. This helps the students to enhance their creativity DURING COVID 19. As it’s impossible for the students to get out of their home and get the material from market.

Workshop:
Calligraphy

A calligraphy workshop cum exhibition were organized by the department of fine art on the occasion of 550th birth anniversary of ‘ SRI GURU NANK DEV JI’. Students were taught about the skills of calligraphy by an expert Ms. Prabhsimar Kaur, 94 students of fine arts department participated in this workshop. It was 3 day long workshop from Nov 4 till Nov 6,2019 and on the last day all the works were displayed in an exhibition hall which were visited by the Prof. DR. B.S.Sohi Pro. V.C. of the Chandigarh University.

Description:

Outcome:

Students came to know about the calligraphy techniques. Students created many calligraphy works based on the teaching of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. An exhibition was organized on the 550th birthday of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. This calligraphy workshop helps the students to know about the great personality and his teachings.

Oil Painting Workshop

On 19th February 2021 an Oil painting workshop was organized by the Department of Fine Arts for the 2nd , 4th an 6th semester students in order to give them a unique experience regarding the oil painting technique while learning from the industry expert. During the event artist demonstrated his skills and handling over oil painting medium and shared his keen knowledge about the subject with the students of fine arts department. The agenda and the outcome of the event is as follows

Outcome:

Students of first year participated in the workshop and learned about minute details while doing an oil painting.
This workshop enabled students to understand the constructive study of portraiture along with the color application process in context to oil painting
Students were motivated to think creatively.

Step 2 - Apply

After successfully creating your candidate profile for CUCET, you can proceed with choosing the Date for your examination. Complete your profile by logging into your CUCET account and choose an examination date as per your convenience and preference.

Step 3 - Submit

You become eligible for admission into Chandigarh University after clearing the CUCET examination. Following your attempt at CUCET, the result will shortly be intimated, based on which you can submit your application for admission and avail merit-based scholarship.
