Student volunteers for the ‘Mega Multi-Specialty Health Camp’

Chandigarh University and Chandigarh Welfare Trust have organized a day long ‘Mega Multi-Specialty Health Camp’ on 17 September at Grain Market, Sector- 39, Chandigarh on the special occasion of the 72nd birthday of our Honorable Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi Ji. The mega health camp benefited ten and thousands of citizens of Chandigarh. The mega health check-up camp was catering to different healthcare services. The goal of the event was to provide accessible and affordable healthcare to the common man as well as to make fitness an integral part of our daily lives. Students of Department of Economics, University School of Business volunteered in the event for social service.

Department of Economics, University School of Business, Chandigarh University hosted an Expert Talk on ‘The Role of the Securities Market in Economic Development’ by Ms. Mohita Singh Dahiya, Assistant General Manager, SEBI. The guest speaker from SEBI made the students aware of different aspects and functions in the capital market. The students learned the importance of SEBI and how the stock market, equity market, and share market function in an economy and contribute to the economic development of the country. This was followed by an interactive Q&A Session. The wholehearted participation of the students in the interactions was the key to its success.
