Programme Outcomes (POs) are attributes of the graduates of the programme that are indicative of the graduate’s ability and competence to work as a legal professional upon graduation. Programme Outcomes are statements that describe what students are expected to know or be able to do by the time of graduation. They must relate to knowledge and skills that the students acquire from the programme. The achievement of all outcomes indicates that the student is well prepared to achieve the programme educational objectives down the road. The following 10 POs have been chosen by the UILS of Chandigarh University. The curriculum of BBA.LL.B. at CU has been designed to fully meet all the 10 Programme Outcomes:
PO-1: Express the deep knowledge of law in a variety of legal & business contexts and engage with the role of law in managerial practice and display their ability to deal with different types of legal issues and business. (Multi-disciplinary Skills)
PO-2: Develop and demonstrate strong soft-skills for making them industry-ready, when they complete the programme. (Soft-Skills)
PO-3: Develop analytical skills and widen the understanding of macro environmental issues by applying the knowledge of macroeconomic policies and their impact on business organisation and strategy. (Analytical Skills)
PO-4: Understand and demonstrate expertise in marketing operations and managing complexities in practical business situations. (Conceptual Clarity)
PO-5: Develop and demonstrate the understanding of management concepts, philosophies and historical background and build up the entrepreneurship skills which help in establishing a successful business. (Entrepreneurial Skills)
PO-6: Ability to apply business communication strategies and principles in effective communication for domestic and international business situations. (Communication Skills)
PO-7: Identify and resolve ethical, legal, cultural, and global issues affecting business communication. (Ethics)
PO-8: Appreciate the historical background and fundamentals of management thoughts vital for understanding the conceptual framework of management as a discipline and familiarise with the theoretical and practical literature relating to organisational behaviour. (Subject Expertise)
PO-9: Develop the responsibility as an employer and understand the legal system to manage employment issues. (Leadership Skills)
PO-10: Understand the business and related factors; and business’ dependency on different environmental variables. (Inter-disciplinary Skills)
