Computer Assisted Detection of Pulmonary Tuberculosis from Digital Chest X-rays	Mr. Somsirsa Chatterjee	The WHO has recommended chest radiographs for primary referral purpose while recently it again endorsed digital chest X-rays’ (CXR’s) role as primary screening modality for smear-negative pulmonary TB for prevalence studies in resource limited settings. Lung Segmentation along with the detection of the clavicles and the ribs Detection of abnormal manifestations like nodular lesions and consolidations.
Computer Assisted Detection and Severity Analysis of Diabetic Retinopathy	Mr. Somsirsa Chatterjee	Early diagnosis of retinal abnormalities can prevent 20% of the total global visual impairment burden. The technology is accessible to < 5% population due to disproportionate ratio of patients to experts (100k: 1), routine-screening cost (> 2000 INR), lack of resources and awareness. Computer Assisted Diagnostic tool capable of identifying a retinal fundus image to be either healthy or abnormal .It will also be able to grade severity which will help automate early detection of the disease in the rural areas primarily.
Exploring Ground Water Possibility in Case Based Recommendation Systems using Nature Inspired Techniques	Dr. Sheetal Kundra	Water is essential for life. Groundwater constitutes only 0.6% of all the water on this earth planet, 97.4% accounts for seawater and 2% for snow and ice on the poles. With nature inspired optimization techniques, we try to detect ground water based on aprori information.
Framework for Efficient Ranking of Webpages by detecting Link Spam	Dr. Aaisha Makkar	Now-a-days, size of the web and competitive market are both growing at a large scale. However, retrieving information within time has become a major task. Link farm is a common technique followed by spammers, but it is not detected easily. So, it is much needed to detect the link spam. To study the existing Link Spam detection techniques and Ranking Algorithms used by the Search Engines.
Drug Synergy using Machine Learning	Soumyadeep Ghosh	Model based on the chemical-genetic matrix and the genetic interaction network fails to accurately predict synergism. A combined random forest and Naive Bayesian learner that associated chemical structural features with genotype-specific growth inhibition had strong predictive power. This work demonstrates that machine learning methods trained on unbiased chemical-genetic interaction data may be widely applicable for the discovery of synergistic combinations in different species.
