Department of Electrical Engineering took initiative in bringing Industry Institute Interface and Hartek Group sponsored Lab “Innovation Lab for Sustainability" for Students of Electrical Engineering. EE Students will now get an opportunity to interact with Technical Experts from Industry (Hartek Group) and work in an area of Renewable Energy Sources especially Solar Integration and Automation with new innovation technologies.

It is a dedicated program to create engineers for the fast-growing EV industry needs in India & globally. The program is created in collaboration with our industry partners, consultants, and a team of in-house subject matter experts to meet the industry expectations. Electrical Vehicle Engineering (EVE) is an international master’s degree conveying in-depth knowledge in electric components technologies and their integration in electric vehicles. Electrical Vehicle Engineering graduates will be particularly focused on "full-electric" traction systems, the storage and management of electricity onboard, and the integration of the vehicle with the electricity grid.

A Globally Reputed Program, this course addresses contemporary issues in Electric Vehicle technology. Graduates of the course will be ready to enter the automotive industry, especially in roles requiring specialist knowledge of electric vehicles or associated technologies. In addition to developing your technical knowledge and experience, this programme will also give you greater confidence in your transferable and personal skills. These include problem-solving, critical thinking, team working, and communication.

Learning Outcomes

After the completion of this course, students will be able to explain the basics of electric and hybrid electric vehicles, their architecture, technologies and fundamentals, analyze the use of different power electronics converters and electrical machines in hybrid electric vehicles, able to interpret the working of different configurations of electric vehicles and its components, hybrid vehicle configurations and able to understand the control and configurations of HEV charging stations.

Early Bird Scholarship

The Early Bird Scholarship (EBS) for admission in all the Master of Engineering Programs of Chandigarh University for the session 2023-24 is notified as under:

  • 20 (Twenty) percent scholarship to be given to the students who have completed Bachelor of Engineering degree from Chandigarh University provided they pay full Semester fee at the time of admission.
  • 15 (Fifteen) percent scholarship to be given to the students who have completed their Bachelor of Engineering/Technology degree from other recognized Universities/Institutes.
