From Innovation to Impact: The Future of Bioentrepreneurship

Association of Biologists as Departmental Society of Biosciences department organized A worksop cum Seminar on the topic From Innovation to Imapact: The Future of Bioentrepreneurship by Ceoo and Group Head Harjeet S Gulati from Millipixel Group. The Workshop was conducted to enhance students awareness towards the awareness amoung the students in the field of bioentrepreneurship. Students participated with full enthusiam and zeal and asked many questions related to the context. Event started with a short introduction of Faculty and Co-curricular coordinator, Dr Kamal Vatika. Welcome and facilitation of Guest with Bouquet was there.

Two days Hands-on Training/workshop on “Molecular Techniques in Biology”

Then he introduced members (Mr. J. R. Sharma, Managing Director, Ms. Simrandeep Kaur Sandhu, Scientific Research Officer-I, Ms. Gurpreet, HR, Orbit Biotech, Mohali (Biodata attached herewith). The orbit biotech’s HR told about the key feature of the Company followed by Ms. Simrandeep Kaur Sandhu, Scientific Research Officer-I discussed about technical aspects of the workshop. Prof. (Dr.) L. K. Attri, HOD, Biosciences welcomed all the faculty members, Delegates and student participants present in the Conference Hall, 417 (Block A1). After Inaugural function all the participants shifted to lab Number 812 (Block A1).

Collaborations with Botanical Survey of India

Botanical Survey of India (BSI) and Department of Biosciences, Chandigarh University has entered into an agreement to establish “Collaborative Research Platform”. The platform will undertake joint activities on academic research, which will have a great economic and social impact on the students.

Expert talk on Research Aptitude

The One Day Hands on Training-cum-Workshop on Field Collection and Preservation of Insects was organized by the Department of Biosciences, Chandigarh University, Mohali. The planning and execution were meticulously handled by Prof (Dr) Arvinder Pal Singh in collaboration with Dr Kamal Vatika, the Event Coordinator. Dr PC Pathania, Scientist E from the Zoological Survey of India, Solan, served as the esteemed resource person for the workshop. His expertise and experience were instrumental in enriching the learning experience of the participants.
