Mahindra & Mahindra T- School is an industrial collaborated lab with Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd that was set up in 2014. The lab is equipped with modern automotive tools & equipment including the Cut section of Mahindra Jeep, Mahindra M-Hawk turbo charged engine, Gypsy 4x4 engine and more. So far, more than 12 workshops have been organized by the lab providing handy facilities for students to make their own sophisticated projects.
Chandigarh University inked an MoU with Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Ltd in 2018. This one-of-its-kind lab is equipped with modern automotive technology equipment including 4 Honda bikes, 3 Honda scooty(s) and all kinds of servicing equipment. Offering hands-on experience is the prime objective of this in-house training and research center.
Vehicle Maintenance and Diagnostics Lab was set up in 2016 by the university itself. This lab facilitates the Study of Constructional Details, Working Principles and Operation of the Automotive Clutches, Automotive Transmission Systems, Automotive Drive Lines & Differentials, and Multi-Cylinder: Diesel and Petrol Engines.
Major Equipments: Two Post Lift, Wheel Aligner and Wheel Balancing Machine, Servicing Tools, Engine Diagnostics and Servicing System
In this lab, the students undergo training on various electrical and electronic circuits & devices associated with automobiles and get an opportunity to work on the calibration of the Electronic Control system of the vehicle. They are also made to understand the basics of Ignition System, Engine Management, Anti-lock Braking System, Traction Control System, Auto Electrical Wiring and more.
Major Equipments:Lead Acid Cell Battery, Ignition System, Dynamo, Electronic Fuel Injection and Ignition system, Hydrogen Fuel Cell, Cut-Outs and Solenoid Relays, Pressure and Temperature Sensors kit, Interfacing ADC and DAC With Microcontroller, LCD display with microcontroller.
The main purpose of this lab is to enhance the knowledge of an Automobile Engineer to visualize the parts and equipment that are used in the vehicle and practically apply it to the real world.
