Experiential Learning is an essential part of studies at the Department of physiotherapy. All the study programs offered by the department involve laboratory practices and for that the department has set-up various hi-tech laboratories that help students develop real-time skills and abilities. Various labs housed by the department are :

Anatomy Lab

The subject of anatomy forms the basis of the Bachelor of Physiotherapy program. It includes the detailed study of human body structural frameworks such as bones, muscles, nerves, spine, ligaments, brain, spinal cord etc. The physiotherapists should be well equipped with the basic concepts of anatomy to be a successful professional. The lab is fully equipped with joint models, skeletons (both articulated as well as non-articulated) etc. The department is planning to start a Dissection Hall in the near future for excellent exposure to the students.

Physiology Lab

This lab is fully equipped with the equipments that help to study and understand the working of various bodily systems using various instruments like sphygmomanometer, spirometer, blood testing kits, tuning forks, stethoscope, anthropometric measurement kits, etc.

Exercise Therapy Lab

This lab includes the various equipments that are employed by a physiotherapist to treat various conditions of the patients. These equipments are specific to joints and also on the type of outcomes. The following equipments are present in the exercise therapy lab.

Electrotherapy Lab

This lab includes various pieces of equipment that could be used for treating and managing various problems affecting the human body. The unique point to be highlighted here is that the lab is equipped with multiple units of equipment so that each student can practice and learn the technique of application of all the equipments.

Research Lab

The department is having a specialized research lab for particularly carrying out various research studies. The lab is having sound proof cabin for conducting nerve and muscle studies using EMG-NCV. Also, the lab is equipped with ultramodern pressure plate and treadmill with the facility of weight-unloading system. Other equipments include Jamar dynamometer, pinch meter, facilities for anthropological measurement, Back-Leg-Chest Dynamometer and facilities for conducting various assessment tests.

It is equipped with 10 treatment beds. The main aim of this room is to provide students space to learn and practice each and every physiotherapeutic techniques in detail.
