Expert talk on careers in Aviation Industry

Udaan Club of the UITHM Department organized an expert talk session with Miss Pawan Pal Kaur Gill from Air India. This session imparted proper knowledge on all the essential aspects of aviation industry and informed students about different career options and job profiles in the Aviation Industry.

Expert Talk on Aviation Industry (Present and Future Prospects)

Udaan Club of the UITHM Department organised an expert talk on "Present and Future Prospects of the Aviation Industry." Miss Nishita Menon from Lufthansa provided the students with correct guidance, as it is essential to be aware of the existing and future prospects of the aviation sector before entering the industry.

Alumni Interaction

The Department of Airlines organised an interactive session with the alumni, Miss Pallavi, who is currently working with Vistara Airlines as a cabin crew. In the alumni interaction, she interacted with the students for an hour and cleared all their doubts, making the session fun, interactive, and knowledgeable for the students.

FDP on Latest trends in the Aviation Industry

The session was attended by all the faculty members of the Department of Airlines as Mr. Karun Mathur from Indigo, the moderator, succinctly explained the meaning and significance of load and trim operations, CAR sections, and aviation security in airlines. The session was extremely knowledgeable and significant for the department, leading them to consider proposing a different subject and value-added courses. A lot of jargon and technical details were elaborated with ease by the moderator, and he also answered questions from the audience both during and after the sessions.

Card Making Competition

"Diwali is the festival of lights that enlightens and brings joy to every heart." The Airline Department organised an interesting ‘Card Making Competition’ for all the students of DOA to bring out the talents of students and enhance their creativity in art and craft. Students showed their artistic skills and created amazing Diwali cards with the use of glitter, ribbons, charts and pearls.

Give Wings to your dreams (Poster making competition)

A poster-making competition was organised by the department to encourage the flow of innovative ideas and knowledge among the students about the aviation sector. The activity proved to be a demonstration of teamwork, coordination, and communication skills, in addition to amazing drawing skills.

Mapping the world activity

The department created the "Mapping the World Activity" to teach crucial information about world maps and popular destinations, which is crucial for an airline student. In this exercise, 75 popular international locations were mapped from India. The destinations were mapped in such a way that they resembled the Indian flag. Saffron threads were used to map the popular destinations in the northern part of the world; white threads for the center of the world; and green for the southern part of the world.

Meditation Session

The AAM department organised an amazing ‘Meditation Session’ for the students to teach them how to handle stress and pressure. The session was headed by Miss Vaishnavi Dehedkar from the DSW department, and she offered her valuable insights during the session.

Mehandi Competition

The University Institute of Tourism and Hospitality Management Clubs Association, Chandigarh University, with immense pleasure, organised "The club/fun activity Mehandi competition". Students showed immense interest in the activity, and their artistic skills were witnessed during the activity.

Poster making competition

Poster making competition was organized by the Department of Aviation on the theme ‘Airlines around the globe’ or ‘your favorite thing about aviation’ for the students to express their ideas through paintings and sketches. Students of DOA participated in the competition with immense zeal and enthusiasm and made a beautiful array of posters showing their artistic skills and interest in aviation.

Inflight Announcements and Safety Demonstration

Inflight Announcements and Safety Demonstration was all about performing an in-flight demonstration within the stipulat-ed time of ten minutes. The event was conducted to give students the first-hand experience of the real-time in-flight episode. Students from 1st and 3rd semester participated in the event with great enthusiasm and competitive spirit and were judged on different parameters including ex-voice quality, co-ordination among each other, accent and grooming standards and time limita-tion of ten minutes.
