Advanced Preparation for a Secured & Bright Future.

The PEOs are broad statements that describe the career and professional accomplishments that the program is preparing its graduates to achieve in few years (for example three years) subsequent to receive the degree. The PEOs of the B.Sc. (Airlines and Airport Management) program are as follows:

PEO-1: Establishing learning environment through which Graduate of Airlines and Airport Management will be proficient professionals for Airlines and Airport Sector with required Technical Skills to meet the demands at National and International level, and can work as per the skills set of market requirements in various government as well as private organizations.

PEO-2: Meeting all necessary global competencies through knowledge and imbibing global competencies to Graduates.

PEO-3: Development of diverse environment which fortifies leadership quality to handle all kind of diverse circumstances to generate man power that are trained in both effective use of technology and in pedagogical terms in Airport Operations at National and International level.

PEO-4: Inculcate specialized technical training and exposure Graduate will be a continuous learner and can adopt new skills and techniques to provide a solid foundation for Central Reservation System to meet the challenges for future innovations in Airlines Ticketing and Reservation by providing interdisciplinary and multi-disciplinary learning environment.

PEO-5: Provide training to Graduate with diverse knowledge along with ethical attitude through which he/she will be able to formulate, investigate and analyze logically real life problems.

Program Outcomes (POs) are attributes of the graduates of the program that are indicative of the graduates’ ability and competence to work as Aviation Industry professional upon graduation. Program Outcomes are statements that describe what graduates are expected to know or be able to do by the time of graduation. They must relate to knowledge and skills that they acquire from the program. The achievement of all outcomes indicates that the Graduate is well prepared to achieve the program educational objectives down the road. CU has been designed to fully meet all the 12 Program Outcomes:

PO-1 (Disciplinary Knowledge): Demonstrate the acquisition of comprehensive, factual, theoretical, and specialised knowledge about the aviation industry and its functional areas.

PO-2 (Complex problem-solving): Express the acquisition of cognitive and technical skills required to perform and accomplish tasks relating to the identification of problems related to the aviation industry at the national and international levels.

PO-3 (Critical thinking): Critically evaluate evidence for taking action to generate solutions to specific problems associated with identification, operation, and management of flight safety and emergency handling in the aviation industry.

PO-4 (Creativity): Demonstrate their skills for providing alternative or creative solutions to problems related to emergency handling, guest satisfaction at airport and airline operations.

PO-5 (Communication Skills): Ability to communicate factual, theoretical, and specialised knowledge in a multidisciplinary context related to one or more fields of study like aviation, hotel management, tourism, research, communication, and more by effective report writing, documentation, and presentation.

PO-6 (Analytical reasoning/thinking): Express the ability to use analytical skills related to safety regulations and flight emergencies as per the terrain in the aviation industry.

PO-7 (Research-related skills): Exhibit the skill related to conducting and analysing research related to the aviation industry.

PO-8 (Coordinating/collaborating with others): Ability to learn from real-life working situations in the aviation industry through collaboration and coordination with various agencies working in the industry like airports, airlines, and MoU partners.

PO-9 (Leadership readiness/qualities): Capability for mapping out the tasks, formulating vision, motivating and inspiring team members, and guiding the people in the right direction for achieving the goals of the vision related to the aviation industry.

PO-10 (Learning how to learn skills): Manifest the ability to meet his/her own learning needs in the aviation industry and pursue their self for self-directed learning through various open modes of learning like LinkedIn, Coursera, Swayam MOOC courses, etc. and pursue a higher level of education and training.

PO-11 (Digital and technological skills): Ability to use and handle various digital platforms like social media, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter, along with new software used in the aviation industry for ticket booking and cancellation, guest services, and facilities record keeping like Galileo, Amadeus, etc.

PO-12 (Multicultural competence and inclusive spirit): Ability to demonstrate the acquisition of knowledge of various beliefs of multiple cultures and a global perspective to honour diversity, engaging in multicultural groups/societies to interact respectfully, and adoption of a neutral gender approach in the aviation industry.

PO-13 (Value inculcation): Demonstrate the ability to practise constitutional, humanistic, ethical, and moral values in the conduct of one’s life through universal human value, practising responsible global citizenship, recognising environmental and sustainability issues, adopting an unbiased approach towards the work and instilling integrity and ethical practises.

PO-14 (Autonomy, responsibility, and accountability): Ability to apply knowledge with an appropriate degree, identify the resources for managing projects by exercising responsibility, and demonstrate accountability related to the aviation industry workplace.

PO-15 (Environmental Awareness and Action): Ability to demonstrate the application of knowledge, skill, attitude, and values to mitigate the effects of environmental degradation, climate change, pollution, waste management, conservation of biological diversity, forest, and wildlife conservation, and sustainable development in nature.

PO-16 (Community engagement and service): Ability to participate in services or activities undertaken in collaboration with community members for promoting social well-being, including participation in the National Service Scheme (NSS), the National Cadet Corps (NCC), and adult literacy, or mentoring school students.

PO-17 (Empathy): Ability to identify and understand the perspective or point of view of another person or group and people’s emotions in the aviation industry and in society.

Program Specific Objectives (PSOs) are specific statementsthat describe the professional career accomplishments that the program is designed. The PSOs of the B. Sc. (Airlines and Airport Management) are program are as follows:

PSO-1: To manage inflight emergencies with standard operating procedures.

PSO-2: To handle inventory, ticketing, reservations, and PNR generation on ticketing-based software.

PSO-3: To apply relevant procedures to handle on-ground airport operational services at national and international levels.
