Yes. The pharmacy programs at Chandigarh University are approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and follow PCI-prescribed curriculum norms. UIPS/UIPSR offer state-of-the-art facilities including a Drug Information Centre (in collaboration with CliMed Research Solutions), Central Instrumentation Lab (HPLC, UV-Vis, FTIR), Machine Room with tablet punching & capsule filling units, pharmacognosy and pharmaceutics labs. Students undergo industrial visits (e.g., API units like Morepen Laboratories), hospital training, research practice sessions, and hands-on workshops to ensure industry readiness.

The institute has 500+ research publications and 12+ patents contributed by faculty and students. M.Pharm. and Pharm.D. learners engage in formulation development, nanotechnology, pharmacovigilance, phytochemistry, and clinical research. Students have published with reputed publishers like Elsevier and Springer, and filed Indian patents, reflecting a strong research-driven academic ecosystem.

Graduates are placed in leading pharma, CRO, healthcare, and analytics firms including Sun Pharma, Abbott Laboratories, Cipla, Mu Sigma and Parexel. The highest package recorded is 24.8 LPA (B.Pharm alumna placed in Australia). Career pathways include clinical research, pharmacovigilance, regulatory affairs, medical writing, production, QA/QC, and hospital pharmacy.

UIPS/UIPSR maintain collaborations with hospitals, CROs, and pharma companies such as IVY Multispecialty Hospitals and CliMed Research Solutions for internships and clinical training (especially for Pharm.D.). The institute also has MoUs with 150+ global universities across USA, UK, France, Australia, Taiwan and others, enabling faculty exchange, international expert sessions, summer schools, and research exposure programs.
