Department of Computer Science & Engineering organised an expert talk on Advanced Operating System under IEEE-Chandigarh University Student Branch by Dr. Nitin Aulack from IIT Ropar on 10th April 2019.

Dr. Nitin Aulack from IIT Ropar

Advanced Operating Systems is a graduate-level course that addresses a broad range of topics in operating system design and implementation, including Operating system structuring, Synchronization, communication and scheduling in parallel systems, Distributed systems and their communication mechanisms, distributed objects and middleware, Failures and recovery management, System support for Internet-scale computing.

Approx 120 students of BE (CSE) were participated and students were very much engaged in the concepts explained by the expert. By tracing the key ideas of today's most popular systems to their origins in research, the class highlights key developments in operating system design over the last two decades and illustrates how insight has evolved to implementation.

The session was very interesting and students were really enthusiastic to learn the concepts of advanced operating system.

Tech Mahindra Offer Letter Distribution

IT giant Tech Mahindra has selected students of CU who were trained at for Tech Mahindra IMS Academy at Chandigarh University. The selected students were given offer letters during a ceremony which was attended by Er. Somit Kapur, Associate Director Operations Tech Mahindra. This is the 4th batch of BCA, B.Sc. Computer Science, MCA and BE Computer Science students who have completed their IMS training and have been selected by the Tech Mahindra.
