(Hons/Hons with Research) Physics and PhD in Physics programs designed to nurture a deep understanding of the fundamental principles that govern our universe—from quantum mechanics to cosmological phenomena. Our department hosts active research groups in frontier areas such as Condensed Matter Physics, Materials Science, Nano-Materials, Thin Films, Spintronics, Superconductivity, Multiferroics, Photovoltaics, Non-linear Dynamics, High Energy Physics, Astrophysics, and Detector Technology. This initiative in Physics aims to foster interaction between these young talents and the department's faculty and scientists on campus. The program's objectives are:

  • To facilitate a mutually beneficial learning experience by connecting young academic talent with the faculty of the Department of Physics, UIS.
  • To offer interns insights into the institute's operational framework and strengthen their capacity to translate theoretical knowledge into practical application, thereby assisting them in their career trajectory.
