A degree in M.Sc. Physics opens the door to diverse and rewarding career paths across academic institutions, research laboratories, technology sectors, and various industries.
The Department of Physics is launching a summer internship program to engage promising undergraduate and postgraduate scholars and researchers from esteemed academic institutions. This initiative in Physics aims to foster interaction between these young talents and the department's faculty and scientists on campus. The program's objectives are:
Cosmo Ferrites Limited, Solan, Himachal Pradesh, and the Department of Physics, University Institute, Chandigarh University, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to bridge the gap between academic learning and career opportunities. This collaboration aims to establish a framework for joint initiatives, including industry visits, hands-on workshops in electronics components and instruments, expert talks on ferrite materials and their industrial applications, and potential internship opportunities for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Institute of Auto Parts and Hand Tools Technology-Ludhiana, and the Department of Physics, University Institute, Chandigarh University, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to bridge the gap between academic learning and hands on experience in Materials Characterization and testing. This collaboration aims to establish a framework for joint initiatives, including industry visits, hands-on workshops in Materials Processing and their Characterizations, expert talks on machinery parts materials, tools and testing for industrial applications, and potential internship opportunities for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Chandigarh University (CU) has established a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Christian Brothers University (CBU) in the USA, facilitating academic collaborations that enhance global exposure for students. Under this partnership, CU offers articulation programs allowing students to pursue master's degrees at CBU. Specifically, students enrolled in certain postgraduate courses at CU can transfer credits towards the B.Sc. (Hons./Hons. with research) Physics and M.Sc. Physics degrees at Christian Brothers University. These articulation programs offer several benefits. Students can save on tuition fees by completing a portion of their studies at CU before transferring to CBU. Merit-based scholarships are available for eligible students.Small class sizes at CBU ensure personalized attention and intensive practical learning experiences.
Chandigarh University (CU) has established a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Vaal University of Technology (VUT), South Africa, facilitating academic collaborations that enhance global exposure for students. Under this partnership, CU offers articulation programs allowing students to pursue master's degrees at VUT. Specifically, students enrolled in certain graduate and postgraduate courses at CU can transfer credits towards the B.Sc. (Hons./Hons. with research) Physics and M.Sc. Physics degrees at Vaal University of Technology. In addition to these initiatives, the MoU aims to enhance Faculty Exchange & Collaboration, Joint Research Initiatives, Scholarships & Funding Opportunities, Curriculum Development & Academic Growth, and Technology Sharing to provide personalized mentorship and hands-on practical learning experiences
