Workshop: Crime Scene Investigation

A Workshop on Crime scene investigation was organised by the Investigators club of department of forensic science and toxicology on 31 Oct 2018. The main aim of the workshop cum competition was to trigger the crime scene management skills of the forensic students. Four different crime scenes were improvised i.e. cyber -crime, hanging, murder 1 and Murder 2. The Four crime scenes with four levels were devised to cross each level to enter final level competition. It was quite interesting and learning experience for the students. Three student groups won the prizes.

Workshop on High-performance liquid..

A workshopentitled “HPLC and development of analytical method in formulation” was organized” by Division of Forensic Science in collaboration with University Institute of Pharma Science Dr. NeerajGrag from Panacea biotech was invited as expert in the workshop. This workshop focuses on the learning of the basic techniques in the HPLC and the problems encountered during the basic research work. The sessions are designed in accordance with imparting the full experiential learning for participants enabling the candidates to run, develop, and validate the HPLC methods and the assessment of quality percentage of formulation.

Workshop on Diatom: Examination...

A Workshop on Diatoms: Examination for antemortem and postmortem drowing was organised by the Investigators club of department of forensic science and toxicology, Chandigarh University on 20 Mar 2017. A number of water bodies of Tricity were tested during workshop founded diatoms were shown to students. Students learn about extraction techniques and identificaion of Diatoms. A valuable information was delevered to student for examination and differentiate antemortem and postmortem drowning cases.

Faculty Development Programme was organised by UIPS during 8th July 2016-14TH July 2016.The renowned academias and scientists enriched the faculty with their views and ideas to modify the teaching learning methodologies. The topic covered by invited dignitaries included active teaching & learning: The concept and its importance, implementation of active teaching learning strategies, effective classroom teaching by using case study method, creating innovative environment in classrooms, holistic education, redefining career with entrepreneurship and innovative approach, professional ethics and career orientation, effective non verbal skills for teachers and teaching pedagogy.
