Major Research Groups
1. Cloud, Mobile & Distributed Computing

Cloud computing and distributed systems (CCDS) are undoubtedly very important areas of research globally. Research communities, industry, and global academia are aware of the value that cloud computing brings to the business and research domains. An amalgamation of centralized cloud and distributed smart communities, this research group aims to act as a facilitator for handling various research challenges and avail different opportunities from these technologies. A mix of experienced and fresh academicians, this research group is on the path of creating new research opportunities for the students working in a similar area.

This research group program focus on the following potential objectives:
  • To identify new research problems and convert them into mathematical model with an aim to develop new technologies and methods for solving the research problems in the area of cloud computing and distributed systems.
  • To identify budding students and mentor them to work in the diverse research domain of CCDS.
  • To collaborate with Universities, Institutions and research labs for the upliftment of the CCDS research domain.
  • To identify novel research ides, draft and convert them into patents.
  • To formulate research proposals with intent of fetching research grants/equipment/awards from International, National, Industrial funding agencies.

  • Blockchain based secure Big Data Migrations in multi cloud environment
  • Optimal Load balancing using heterogeneous containers in cloud computing Environment
2. Image Processing Group

This research group aims to contribute to the digital image processing research domain by using image processing techniques and their applications to solve real-life problems. The techniques include Digital Image Fundamentals, Image Transforms, Image Enhancement, Restoration and Compression, Morphological Image Processing, Nonlinear Image Processing, and Image Analysis.

Following Application Specific domains of Digital Image Processing field have been considered to work upon:
  • Image forensics
  • Image Enhancement
  • Image Compression
  • Image Segmentation
  • Pattern Recognition

  • Face recognition using Feature Extraction
  • Iris Recognition in Python

3. Data Science Research

Data Science is a multidisciplinary domain that includes working with huge amounts of data, developing algorithms, working with machine learning and more to come up with business insights. This research community includes various tasks like pre-processing the data; arrange data for processing and for recognizing patterns and to understand the attributes in a disciplined format for extracting useful information.

Data Science research group program focus on the following potential objectives:
  • To identify new research problems and convert them into mathematical model with an aim to develop new classifiers for solving the research problems in the area of data science.
  • To identify budding students and mentor them to work in the diverse research domain of data science.
  • To collaborate with Universities, Institutions and Research Labs for extracting the stream text to extract novel patterns.
  • To identify novel research ideas, draft and convert them into patents.

4. Computer Networks and Cyber Security

Mobile gadgets today are swaggering computing potential and memory at par or at times even higher to that found in desktop personal computers. Therefore, this research group aim to work and contribute to the digital community while proving efficient security and privacy solutions.

  • Identifying the Research Problems: To identify the recent security and privacy research problem and formulate them in order to devise the efficient solution.
  • Exploring the State-of-the-Art: This objective comprises of the exploration of the methods and practices exist till date to solve the problem and come up with a thorough understanding of the state-of-the-art in the domain.
  • To identify the feasibility of the methodologies outlined: This research objective involves the identification of the outlined strategies (if any) and their feasibility to pursue in the existing resource constraint environment.
  • Association with students: To associate with the students who actually like to contribute with their skills and ideas.
  • To formulate the Research Approach: Formulation of the research approach keeping in mind the novelty and applicability aspect of it.

  • Hybrid technique for the detection and isolation of Grayhole attack in VANET’s
  • An improvement in broadcasting technique for route establishment to reduce network delay.
  • Detection and Isolation of jamming attack in MANET.
  • Hybrid MAC protocol for channel sensing in wireless body area networks
5. Emerging Technologies

The goal of this research group is to contribute the research community of artificial intelligence.

The main objectives of the group are:
  • To study and review the research contributions in the area of artificial intelligence and machine learning.
  • To attain practical mastery over implementing ML algorithms for different applications in healthcare, retail, financial services and manufacturing industries, etc.
  • To study the wide range of case studies of artificial intelligence and to confidently deploy ML & AI applications in their research work.
