Culinary World at Aahar

CU’s UITHM students triumphed at Aahar 2024’s Culinary Art India Challenge, earning national recognition. Ayush and Dixit won Silver and Bronze in 3-Tier Wedding Cakes, while Akhil and Ayush claimed Silver in Plated Desserts. Harsh secured Bronze in the Mocktail Competition, showcasing exceptional culinary creativity, passion, and innovation.

Incredible Chef Challenge

Sukhminder, a student from the university, won the Gold Medal for his innovative millet-based dish, while Anuj Kumar Singh secured the Silver Medal for his creative culinary presentation at Incredible Chef Challenge 2025. The competition highlighted the culinary skills and ingenuity of the participants, with both students representing Chandigarh University in the national event.

to the budding chef of Chandigarh University - Aman Jha, a student of Hotel & Hospitality Management Department for attempting a Limca Book of Record by making 300+ Raitas in just two hours. An event was organized by the flagship Hospitality Department of CU to set landmark by preparing the maximum number of raitas.

Limca Book of Record

Hotel Management student at Chandigarh University, Manish Tyagi has made us proud by coining his name in LIMCA BOOK OF RECORDS by preparing a 100-layer Bread Salaami Sandwich Tower with 50 slices each of Bread, Salami and spreads. The 3ft high tower was made in a record breaking time of 6.22 minutes and consisted of 52 ingredients such as Coconut, Sauce Strawberry etc. This goes to show the sheer hard work and dedication he put in to bring laurels to CU.

Limca Book of Record

Chef Dev Raj Assistant Professor at University Institute of Hotel Management (UIHM) has made the Chandigarh University proud by coining his name in the 27th edition of LIMCA Book of Records by preparing 362 kinds of Chutney’s in three hours.He categorized his chutney preparations into fresh, tempered, cooked, roasted, boiled, pulp, vegetables and curd preparations. Within three hours he created a record that has never been attempted before.

How to Apply?

Step 1 - Signup

Sign up or Register for CUCET with basic details (Name, Email ID, Mobile No., State, Gender and Password). Your Email ID will act as your Username for the portal while the password will be set by you upon registration.

On successful registration, you will receive the confirmation message on your registered contact number and Email. Use the Username and Password to Login to your CUCET Account.

Step 2 - Apply

After successfully creating your candidate profile for CUCET, you can proceed with choosing the Date for your examination. Complete your profile by logging into your CUCET account and choose an examination date as per your convenience and preference.

Step 3 - Submit

You become eligible for admission into Chandigarh University after clearing the CUCET examination. Following your attempt at CUCET, the result will shortly be intimated, based on which you can submit your application for admission and avail merit-based scholarship.
