World hospitality Day

Pinning it high and encouraging everyone to travel and explore different facets of the world, National and International students of University Institute of hospitality and Hospitality Management (UITHM) CU celebrated the World hospitality Day with great enthusiasm. UITHM students visited Airport and Famous places of Chandigarh to greet visitors on World hospitality Day.

Nakhrali Dhani

The ‘Nakhrali Dhani’ event was organized by Event Branding Promotion Club of University Insti-tute of hospitality & Hospitality Management with the purpose to make the students learn how to organize and manage an event.

Diwali Carnival Week

Bagel Club of UITHM organized Diwali Carnival week wherein students got a chance to bake and sold bakery products. The sole purpose of the whole activity was to give hands-on exposure to the students for bulk production of bakery products, cost controlling with sales of the final products.

Open Mic Competition

Organized by Paparazzi Club, the purpose of the Open Mic Competition was to strengthen the oratory skills and confidence of the students.

Holi special chef competition

The Department of Hospitality of Chandigarh University put together the Holi Special Chef Competition, which was informative for the actively participating students from different departments such as MBA, B.Tech. CSE, BBA, nutrition science, and more. Students make different dishes with different traditional regional themes.

Bread-making competition

The bagel club organised an internal bread-making competition for students to prepare soft rolls of various shapes using standard measurements and recipes. Additionally, students had to go through an MCQ-based written exam. So, the competition was a learning experience for the students, as they learned about managing the work area, time, and ingredients without losing their team spirit.

Grooming standard

Extravaganza Club organised a lecture on grooming standards for students to learn about the different grooming standards required in the hospitality industry and their importance in the industry as well.

World Tourism Day

The Department of Hotel Management, UITHM, Chandigarh University organised and celebrated "SANGATHAN- TOURISM CONFLUENCE" a two-day Inter-Department Event In lieu of World Tourism Day 2022. On this occasion, more than 10 competitions were conducted, and more than 100 students from different departments participated.

Seminar on self-love

The Offline Departmental Counselling and Mentoring Session was put together by UITHM-HM for 1st-year students. The main objective of the session was to learn about the importance of self-love and ways to deal with stress, burnout, anxiety, or an illness.

IFDP Expert Talk

The Department of Hotel Management hosted an IFDP expert session with Dr. Natasa Slak Valek, a renowned international university expert, to promote the concept of a sustainable and smart city. Communication about the planned city of Chandigarh was the topic of the session, and a discussion was made about the function of planned cities in the tourism industry and the various aspects of attracting tourism to Chandigarh City, which will help the city attract more domestic and international tourists. Planned city measurements and a sense of community were also covered during the session.

How to Apply?

Step 1 - Signup

Sign up or Register for CUCET with basic details (Name, Email ID, Mobile No., State, Gender and Password). Your Email ID will act as your Username for the portal while the password will be set by you upon registration.

On successful registration, you will receive the confirmation message on your registered contact number and Email. Use the Username and Password to Login to your CUCET Account.

Step 2 - Apply

After successfully creating your candidate profile for CUCET, you can proceed with choosing the Date for your examination. Complete your profile by logging into your CUCET account and choose an examination date as per your convenience and preference.

Step 3 - Submit

You become eligible for admission into Chandigarh University after clearing the CUCET examination. Following your attempt at CUCET, the result will shortly be intimated, based on which you can submit your application for admission and avail merit-based scholarship.
