Course Structure

  • First three years: Identical to the existing BTech program.
  • 7th semester2 PC course, 2 Departmental Electives (at least one PG elective),
  • 8th semester: 2 PC, 2 PG Electives
  • Summer semester: 1 PC, 2 PE + Lab 1 Elective based, project I, and project II
  • ME Semester 3 (9th Semester: same courses to be covered as offered to ME regular (3rd Semester) +1 PE
  • 10th semester: 16 credits of MTech thesis + ability enhancement course. Since BOS is looking at the curriculum for all BTech programmes in the Institute, and is likely to suggest modifications to the same, we can modify the dual-degree programme, if needed, suitably after their proposals are approved by the BOS.
  • Minimum CGPA required to get promoted to next year is 6.0

The Early Bird Scholarship (EBS) for admission in all the Master of Engineering Programs of Chandigarh University for the session 2023-24 is notified as under:

  • 20 (Twenty) percent scholarship to be given to the students who have completed Bachelor of Engineering degree from Chandigarh University provided they pay full Semester fee at the time of admission.
  • 15 (Fifteen) percent scholarship to be given to the students who have completed their Bachelor of Engineering/Technology degree from other recognized Universities/Institutes.
